Βρισκόμαστε στην ιδιαίτερα ευχάριστη θέση να σας ανακοινώσουμε ότι η ELSA Greece θα φιλοξενήσει τους περιφερειακούς γύρους (regional rounds) του Διεθνούς Διαγωνισμού Εικονικής Δίκης για τα ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα “Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition”. Οι περιφερειακοί γύροι του 10ου επετειακού διαγωνισμού θα διεξαχθούν στην Αθήνα, στις 10-12 Μαρτίου 2022, σε συνδιοργάνωση με την ELSA Athens.
Από το 2013 σε συνεργασία με το Συμβούλιο της Ευρώπης διεξάγεται ο Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition (πρώην European Human Rights Moot Court Competition) ο οποίος λαμβάνει χώρα στο Ευρωπαϊκό Δικαστήριο Δικαιωμάτων του Ανθρώπου (ΕΔΔΑ) στο Στρασβούργο. Αποτελεί προσομοίωση της διαδικασίας προσφυγής ενώπιον του ΕΔΔΑ και έχει ως στόχο την εξοικείωση των φοιτητών Νομικής με θέματα προάσπισης δικαιωμάτων του ανθρώπου.
Με αφορμή τη 10η επέτειο του διαγωνισμού αποφασίστηκε η μετονομασία του σε Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition προς τιμήν της πρώτης γυναίκας δικαστή του ΕΔΔΑ.

We are pleased to announce that ELSA Greece will be hosting the Regional Rounds of the Helga Pedersen International Moot Court Competition. The regional rounds of the 10th edition of the competition will be held in Athens, on March 10-12, 2022, jointly organized with ELSA Athens.
Since 2013 the Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition (formerly known as “European Human Rights Moot Court Competition”) has been taking place at the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) in Strasbourg in collaboration with the Council of Europe. It is a simulation of the procedure of individual complaint to the European Court of Human Rights and it aims to familiarize Law students with issues pertaining to human rights’ protection.
Following its 10th anniversary, the competition was renamed “Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition” as a tribute to the first woman judge of the European Court of Human Rights.
